Easy Way To Quit Smoking

Is there an easy way to quit smoking?

Well, if you are a smoker that has ever tried to quit smoking you will know there is nothing easy about it. The fact of the matter is it doesn’t matter if it’s easier not, the whole point is to maintain a healthy lifestyle we need to stop the filthy habit of lighting up cigarettes.

Smoking is an utterly disgusting habit that everyone needs to stop. If all smokers put down their cigarettes and walked away the earth we walk on would be a much better place. I guess we all know this is going to happen anytime soon. Even if smoking were made 100% illegal tomorrow we would still have people walking around and smoking. The problem is people just don’t realize the damage they are doing to themselves and the people around them. Every single day people are dying as a result of others lighting up cigarettes. This is not just a statement but this is fact and we need to find a way to stop it.

Of course there is no easy way to quit smoking, if there was that there would be nearly not as many smokers as there are today. Unfortunately we allow the tobacco companies to build cigarettes the way they do. What this does is allows them to introduce chemicals into a cigarette that are very addictive and make it very difficult for the average smoker to be able to walk away from their cigarettes.

What a world we live in that would allow companies to build a product that is not only addictive and not only harmful to themselves but harmful to everyone around them. It really is quite simple, the only reason this is done is for money. It is a guarantee that if cigarettes weren’t such a tax grab the government would have stepped in by now and made smoking illegal. The fact of the matter is if everybody quit smoking tomorrow chances are the government would go broke because of the loss of revenue gained from tobacco taxes.

If there was an easy way to quit smoking it would be the million-dollar invention. It would be like a very bright light at the end of a very long tunnel. I can guarantee a lot of people would be using this million-dollar invention. I can guarantee that many people do want to quit but because of the addiction for many it is almost impossible. We need as a society to come up with that million-dollar invention no matter what it may be and make that easy way to quit smoking.
May 6, 2010 Dale became a non smoker after smoking 2 packs a day for 30 years.

He now focuses on helping others to take the same step he did. He has decided even helping one person to quit would be a great success.

His other main focus is to work hard on educating kids into never starting the dreaded habit of smoking.

Vitamin B5 for Acne – How It Works

The vitamin B5 acne cure has steadily gained popularity over the past decade. From its use in clinical studies in the 1990s, it has come a long way to become widely marketed as an effective natural acne treatment today. How exactly does vitamin B5 work against acne? And how much do you need to get satisfactory results?

Vitamin B5, also called pantothenic acid, is an essential nutrient needed by the body. It is an important precursor to a compound called coenzyme A. Coenzyme A is needed by the body to break down and convert the carbohydrates, proteins, and fats from the food we eat to utilizable energy. It is also used to create biologically important molecules like essential fats, cholesterol, and hormones.
In 1995 Dr. Lit-Hung Leung of the Hong Kong Central Hospital published a landmark study that showed how vitamin B5 may play a role in how acne develops. He theorized that the skin makes more oil when there is little coenzyme A to break down fats and keep it from depositing as oil on the skin. Vitamin B5, therefore, is needed to make more coenzyme A to control oil on the skin. Since acne develops when the pores are clogged by excess oil and dead skin cells, controlling oil production with vitamin B5 will control acne.

To prove this theory, Dr. Leung gave oral vitamin B5 as well as a topical vitamin B5 cream to a study group. A noticeable decrease in oil production was observed in just 3 days. In 2 weeks’ time acne was considerably decreased, and after 2 months moderate acne was completely controlled. Within a year everyone’s acne has cleared up. The subjects’ skin became smoother too as the pores became smaller.

Exactly how much vitamin B5 do we need to treat acne? The food that we eat everyday – particularly chicken, fish, shellfish, egg yolk, liver and kidney, broccoli, mushrooms, legumes, and yogurt – provide 3-6 mg of vitamin B5 a day. Dr. Leung’s vitamin B5 research recommends taking 10 to 20 grams of oral vitamin B5 daily. What about side effects? Some people may get diarrhea with elevated doses of the vitamin. Generally though vitamin B5 is considered safe since it is a water-soluble vitamin. This means that the body simply flushes out the excess vitamin B5 that it doesn’t need. And since pantothenic acid, which literally means “from every side” in Greek, is needed by all the cells of the body, having a little extra can actually be more beneficial for our health.

Vitamin B5 supplements come in powder, capsule or tablet form. With these preparations you will have to take several doses a day to get the needed amount. A convenient alternative is the use of time-release pills that guarantee faster absorption at less frequent amounts. Other preparations contain other nutrients like biotin and zinc to minimize side effects and/or to add other skin benefits.

Like most over-the-counter acne products, vitamin B5 is a viable and effective treatment for acne. Because it is found naturally in the body, it can even have less side effects than conventional acne cures. With its many health and acne benefits, the vitamin B5 acne treatment is definitely worth a try.

Defining Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorde

Autism is a lifelong affliction that reduces the ability to understand what is seen, heard, and touched. It can cause profound problems in personal behavior and in the ability to relate to others.

Autism Spectrum Disorder

Autism is a developmental disability that typically makes its presence felt in the first three years of life. It is in fact a neurological disorder that affects the brain and prevents it from functioning normally. Problems in autism arise in the areas of social development, difficulties in communication and behavior patterns that can be stereotyped. This autism spectrum disorder or ASD has not racial or ethnic boundaries and has an incidence that is the same all round the world. The incidence is said to be one in every 150 births. It is said to be more common in boys than in girls. Autism definition can signify a disorder that causes an escape from reality and immersion into a fantasy world.

Traits That Define Autism

Social developmental and communication characteristics of autistic persons include a preference for being alone, avoidance of eye contact, an aversion to cuddling, inappropriate attachments to objects, very poor motor skills that make it difficult for the person to dress up or hold objects, a lack of response to verbal cues and a firm resistance to change of any kind in their daily life or routines.

Behavior patterns for people afflicted with autism can include tantrums and behavior that can injure the autistic person, laughing or crying and showing signs of distress for very obscure reasons, repeating the same phrases all the time, responses that can be indicate low sensory reception or exaggerated responses to the same and odd motions that they repeat all the time.

Infantile autism

In infantile autism, autistic children show a marked failure in an ability to form relationships with their peers, and are unable to share any interests or even toys with other children. There is quite often a delay in developing the spoken language and also no attempt to communicate in other methods of communication like gestures. Even when the child does develop some skills in the language, there is a marked disinclination to conduct a conversation with others and this trait continues into later lie. Even conversations that are begun are not sustained. Hand flapping or other body movements that are quite complex may be repeated constantly with apparently no real trigger that causes such movements. Children with autism that is classic will not be able to perform properly on any diagnostic tests and remain quite unengaged and non-verbal in their responses to others.

Distinguishing autism from retardation or other disorders of the mind is quite difficult, and quite often leads to the wrong treatment. Autistic children can also grow up into adults that have intelligence that is above average. Their obsessions with restricted interests can even lead them to develop an expertise in areas that are far above that of normal people. Such high functioning autism generally will have well developed language skills as per normal standards.

How Lower Cholesterol Can Help You

You don’t have to be a health-conscious person to know how lower cholesterol can help your body. Knowing how you can lower your cholesterol is very significant in improving your overall health. Controlling the food you eat so your body would always have the right level of cholesterol doesn’t only make your lifestyle a lot healthier; it would also help you live a longer life in the end.

Balancing your fats (cholesterol) intake is very crucial in preventing heart problems, stroke, and other cardio vascular diseases. That’s why it’s important to learn more about cholesterol and how to control it.

First, cholesterol is a liver-by product substance in the body that is wax-like or fat-like. It’s produced from dietary cholesterol or naturally occurring cholesterol foods like red meat, eggs, dairy foods, and some sea foods. Basically there are two types of cholesterol: LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) or the “bad cholesterol” and the HDL (High Density Lipoprotein), the “good cholesterol.” A healthy level of these cholesterols helps the body to function properly especially in the production of vitamin D, hormones, and acids that help in the digestion of bile. However when you have high cholesterol, or your cholesterol is not in its “optimal” level (you have too many LDL or too little HDL), then you could be at a higher risk for stroke, heart problems, and other cardiovascular diseases as well.

According to the American Heart Association, a person should only consume 300 milligrams of dietary cholesterol per day. And, if you are already diagnosed with high cholesterol, or if you have a heart disease, then you should maintain your intake of dietary cholesterol to only 200 milligrams daily.

How to Lower Your Cholesterol

To lower your cholesterol, you can first lower your intake of both LDL and HDL altogether. On the other hand, you can also just avoid high LDL foods like foods with saturated fats and trans fats. Making it a habit to read the package labels on the food you buy from the grocery store in this case would be really helpful. Avoid red meat, chicken skin, egg (yolks), butter, dairy products, and sea foods like lobster, shrimp, or crabs. You should also stay away from foods with hydrogenated vegetable oil, palm oil, or coconut oil.

Instead, choose foods cooked with unsaturated fats (polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats) like sesame oil, sunflower oil, canola oil, and olive oil.

Also eat good cholesterol foods like fish rich in omega3 fatty acids, and other cholesterol lowering foods like lentils, walnuts, and almonds. Also try to eat at least ten grams of soluble fiber (oatmeal or beans) daily to soak up and flush out the extra cholesterol in your body.) Also add antioxidant foods diet like berries to diet as well as fish oil and natural or organic cholesterol reducing supplements or other prescription medications like anti high-triglyceride (for diabetics).

Finally, try to quit smoking and exercise more (at least 90 minutes per week). Not only will these reduce your risks for cancers, cardio-respiratory diseases, or obesity; it will also keep your HDL or good cholesterol at a healthier level. If you know how lower cholesterol and a balanced HDL level can help you, then you simply will have a healthier life.

Hope for Chronic Back Pain and Depression

The link between physical and emotional pain has been well documented. One study showed that depression is 3-4 times more prevalent among those who suffer chronic back pain than among those who don’t (Sullivan et al, 1992).

One theory that attempts to explain this correlation acknowledges that symptoms of both pain and depression become signals in the brain that travel via the same neurotransmitters. Serotonin and norepinephrine transmit both physical and emotional signals, creating a mind-body link. Altered levels of these neurotransmitters can be caused by pain, and this alteration affects emotional states.

There is hope for those who suffer chronic pain and depression. A variety of therapies, both medicinal and physical, are available.

What is Depression?

Depression is set apart from normal sadness by severity and duration. Generally, clinical depression is not purely situational. It lasts long after a stressful situation’s occurrence and often has unknown causes. Symptoms of depression include:

  • -Feeling low, helpless, guilty and/or worthless for a prolonged period of time
  • -Trouble sleeping
  • -Disturbance of appetite
  • -Difficulty concentrating
  • -Decreased memory
  • -Agitation or lethargy
  • -Disinterest toward things one used to enjoy

Experiencing a number of these symptoms for a prolonged period of time merits the diagnosis of clinical depression.

The Relationship Between Pain and Depression

Alongside the idea that shared neurotransmitters cause depression among sufferers of chronic pain is the common-sense connection between the two.
Chronic pain can lower the quality of one’s life, thereby posing as a situational cause of depression. Though clinical depression is often not purely situational, a constant negative situation can cause a constant negative emotional reaction.

Back pain can be felt as a piercing sensation, a dull ache, or a burning sensation. It can be located in the upper back, lower back or neck. For some with back pain, the unpleasant sensation extends from the back to the neck and arms or to the legs and feet.

Chronic back pain is present when any of the symptoms above recur regularly or are experienced constantly. Pain can limit one’s ability to participate in activities that once brought enjoyment. It can also interfere with healthy sleep. The combination of limitation, fatigue and pain itself may be enough to induce a state of depression.

The Good News

A number of treatment options exist for those with chronic back pain and depression. Since the two are biologically and environmentally linked, an improvement of one side is likely to be reflected in the other.

Several medications are used to alleviate back pain. These range from over-the-counter medications like acetaminophen and ibuprofen to muscle relaxants and anti-convulsion. Anti-depressants have also been used to some extent to treat pain. If an individual chooses anti-depressant medication, it is recommended that the one chosen targets serotonin and norepinephrine.

Since medication often comes with safety and dependency risks, many are seeking alternative treatment plans for pain management. Fortunately, many exist. Some drug-free treatments involve movement:

  • Exercise can be done to target particular muscle groups and strengthen specific areas.
  • Water aerobics has emerged as a promising component of physical therapy.
  • Massage therapy and chiropractic care are passive manipulation techniques available to correct problems and ease pain.

Other forms of treatment target one’s reception of the pain rather than the pain itself:

Relaxation and meditation therapies cause changes in neurotransmitter activity in the brain. These therapies, also used for those with depression alone, change the way negative sensations are processed by the brain and therefore the degree to which they are experienced.

For those who take medications for chronic back pain and would like to come off of them, a plan is necessary.

  1. Consulting with a doctor is the first step, since pain medications come with the risk of dependency.
  2. Second, an alternative treatment plan must be set in place to take over the role that medicine used to play.

A combination of the above techniques is recommended.

Ways To Stop Panic Attacks

There are various ways to stop panic attacks. It is first important to understand what it is and the causes of them. It is a moment of extreme fear, anxiety, apprehension and tension which lasts for a short time.

They are a result of our boy’s fight-or-flight response system. It is a system ingrained in us through thousands of years of existence. When the person encounters a situation which is scary or threatening or a sense of a loss of control is present, the body resorts to physical responses of shortness of breath, tensing of muscles, reduced blood circulation which can cause that cold feeling when undergoing a panic attack.

This is a medical condition that is still under exploration, as the exact causes are not really known. Panic attacks affect much of the population and some people may have them rarely or even occasionally, while others may have them often or some people only a few times in their life.

There is thought that some people experience them due to organic causes. For this and chemical imbalances in our brain, medication might be the best course of action to consider and a doctor should be consulted.

For most people who experience this type of anxiety disorder, it is a heightened flight-or-flight response and it is a psychosomatic condition — this means a psychological issue manifests itself as physical symptoms. Knowing this, there are some simple steps to take to stop regular occurrences or at the very least to minimize them.

Understanding the triggers is an extremely important part of controlling them. By understanding what situations cause anxiety, the person can be aware of an onset of an attack. Oddly enough, the best process for dealing with them is the awareness and recognition of the triggers. By recognizing their onset and the symptoms that follow, the body is under no additional stress to stop it. This allows the body to relax and the symptoms to be greatly reduced.

A great practice to stop panic attacks is a daily relaxation technique. This allows the body to become aware of all physical changes and, most importantly, to regulate breathing. By taking a mere 20 minutes a day to simply be still and count our breathing from the count of 10 down to zero, our body becomes trained to be extra aware of all changes in breath and heart rate. This helps us regulate and minimize any changes.

Men and Depression

True, depression usually happens among women. But that doesn’t mean men are completely immune to it. Based on new studies, there are over 6 million men in the United States alone who are diagnosed with the medical condition every year, and a number of them die because of medication overdose or suicide.

What Happened?

For several years depression was called the women’s disease, and men thought they were invincible. Sad to say, they aren’t. The myth, though, has been carried over until today, so a lot remain untreated or undiagnosed.

The causes of depression in men are different than those of women. Women can suffer depression because of hormone fluctuations. Men, on the other hand, become depressed because of cultural and personal perceptions.

Men grow up with the belief that they are the more superior gender. They are strong and capable of almost anything. They are the protectors of women and the head of the family. It is expected that they handle pressure very well. Of course, that isn’t exactly true, as anyone can give in and give up because of too much stress.

But men often find themselves settling issues and pressure all on their own. They rarely talk about their personal problems, and even if depression symptoms are already obvious, they will still deny they are suffering from it. Moreover, they are less likely open to treatments and medications.

Men are also highly competitive, putting a lot of pressure and stress onto themselves. They find it much harder to accept defeat and failure.

How Do You Know You’re Depressed?

You’re probably depressed if you experience the following:

  • Empty or sad mood
  • Anxiety
  • Panic attack
  • Feeling of pessimism, guilt, and helplessness
  • Feeling of vulnerability
  • Lethargy or lack of energy
  • Difficulty in concentration
  • Change in sleeping and eating habits
  • Morbid thoughts including suicide
  • Lack of usual activities and personal interests
  • Digestion problems
  • Body aches

Usually you can call your condition depression if any or all of these symptoms happen for a lengthy period. To be properly diagnosed, see a doctor.

Fighting Depression

Men are born warriors, so they definitely have the mechanism to overcome depression only if they allow themselves to be treated.

One of the usual methods of treating depression is through medications like anti-depressants. They are effective in controlling the symptoms associated with the mental disorder. Nevertheless, they carry certain side effects. For example, SSRIs can affect sexual performance and libido among men. That in itself may lead to further depression.

There are also depression treatment centers where sufferers can stay for a while. Therapists and doctors will provide the necessary treatments and keep track of their progress. They can also join depression support groups usually facilitated by a recognized depression counselor or expert.

It is also important you can get back your self-worth. You can use subliminal messages for that. Affirmations provide positive thoughts that can be your source of motivation and inspiration to be better.

How To Quit Smoking Effectively and Definitively

Why do you want to quit needs to asked, and the answer written down and then read a few time to make sure you have written the exact reason or reasons why. The next step is to write down how you believe your life shall change and perhaps the numerous ways your life shall change should you resign to quitting.

What do you think is resign a nice sounding word? Well that is what most people do; they resign as if an inanimate object could possibly defeat a live human being. The artificial approach of applying patches etc or even chewing particular brands and types of gum also seem to lack one essential ingredient.

Whatever the reason induced your habit of smoking, please be assured that if you are totally and unequivocally definite about quitting then you shall. It has to commence with the decision of approval you are eliciting towards your subconscious and from there the remedy shall evolve.

As of this moment we shall surmise your actions are, taking place, thus there are certain guidelines you have to undertake in order to release the hold your habit has on you.

  • Clean out your handbag, your pockets and especially clean out your car because you have to erase the odour of cigarette smoke.
  • The next step is physically clean out the scent from your entire house and clothing and this is a two-fold embarkation towards spiritual freedom. There is something within our souls, that invites freedom from the indulgence or bondage, per se of addictions, and it does not desist until we respond appropriately.
  • While you are in the process of house cleaning take the initiative and remove all unnecessary clothing you may have been stock piling, as anything not used for at least a season maybe even a year has to place in your closet. This is a sign of your gratitude to the spiritual world for wrapping around you comfortable blessings strengthening your resolve. It also makes room for blessings to embrace your life and believe me anytime you make room for other blessings, is time well spent.
  • The transition of physical cleaning acted as a curative both for your physical and spiritual essence and this brings you to the next phase. Diet and exercise are automatic follow up compliments to your planning because it is really easy to over eat and form a horrible habit of laziness.
  • Spend the money if you have it to spare and join a gym or if not then align with others who are part of a vigorous campaign running or walking regularly. You see it is necessary to change your whole life in order to prevent falling back or reversing the good work you have commenced.
  • This next step is the most vital and will give you the power to continue your program towards a healthier you. Meditation is not a new age or yoga based initiation you must do but when you attack any addiction through the power of your spirit, it does help as you cannot but achieve success. All the power you need is available for you, it commences within and then carries you through to your spiritual connection with God, and thus you shall develop powerful strength of will. Continue to develop your meditative skills and success will not avoid you and to be sure to be sure your family, your friends and your doctor shall indeed be extremely happy with your progress. God bless!

3 Ways to Help Deal With Acne

People around the globe who have to cope with acne frequently search for genuine methods to help manage the problem. The reality is you simply cannot expect to see this problem vanish overnight. The accumulation of harmful toxins and bacteria within our body is usually the cause of an acne condition, so in order to be able to overcome the condition completely, you are going to have to eliminate many of these harmful toxins and bacteria from your entire body.

Now, without having to get too radical with different treatment methods, there exist 3 exact things which you should ensure you are carrying out each and every day so that you can safely and effectively take care of your condition.

To begin with, you should ensure that you’re receiving a great deal of rest. This is one area that the many of us find relatively hard executing, possibly due to the fact we’ve got an issue getting to sleep during the night or perhaps due to the fact our everyday life is usually so hectic that relaxation is simply not possible.

However, if you desperately want to cope with your current acne condition and consequently face it directly, you should try to make time for rest and never create any kind of excuses.

The majority of people require 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night, therefore we must take time out to be able to rest and relax for a while, otherwise you are certainly not going to eliminate any problematic skin conditions.

The next step that you need to be doing regular would be to eat a well-balanced diet. This is one thing that may be extremely tough for most individuals to accomplish, especially given that we probably are used to a particular living style which is not conducive to eating properly.

Assuming you would like to eliminate the affected skin, you have to forget about any fast foods as well as sugary snack food items and try to eat a number of fresh vegetables and fruit instead.

Attempt this for just 7 days and you will definitely be amazed with just how much pleasure you get from an everyday salad or perhaps a bowl of fresh fruit.

Last of all, you have to ensure that you are receiving lots of water to drink. Acne breakouts can be a reaction to lack of fluids, therefore make certain you are taking in a good amount of drinking water every day and however hard it may seem, try to steer clear of those fizzy drinks.

Complete this specific task for 1 week and your pores and skin are going to be significantly clearer.

Acne Scar Help Treatments

This article focuses on the most effective acne scar help and treatments. Having acne could lead to acne facial marks if you are not careful. If the outbreak is mild the possibilities of developing scars are lower. On the other hand if you suffer from severe acne the chances of acne marks will be higher. To avoid or prevent acne scars you need to start treating it as soon as possible.

Some steps that you must follow to avoid their apparition are:

– Don’t touch, squeeze or pop the pimples, this way you will avoid skin tissue damage and acne scars. I know you have heard this before but don’t overlook this step, it is very important.

– If you are prone to scars maybe because of genetics your should consult a dermatologist as soon as you can.

– Maintain your hands, face and hair around the face very clean.

– Wash the affected area with a fragrance free soap.

– Avoid skin inflammation such as strong detergents, soaps and skin care products.

– Cysts or nodules often leave deep scars. If you reach this point a professional treatment is recommended.

Most effective acne scar help and treatments

1- Chemical peels – Widely used for acne problems. Consist in taking layers of skin to reveal new skin underneath. There are several types of peels according to the severity of the acne marks. If your skin problem is mild a solution of glycolic acid or light peel may be recommended. For more severe cases of acne scarring a TCA or Phenol peel might be used. Not everyone will be an ideal candidate for acne peels; your physician will be able to come up with the best possible cure.

2- Microdremabrasion – It is recommended to help acne scars and to improve the skin’s texture. The skin is sandblasted with tiny aluminium oxide crystals to exfoliate the skin. It can be painful depending on the intensity. The skin will be red afterward and you will need to wear sun protection. It works really well for some people, but the same result can not be expected for everybody.

3- Lasers – Lasers are a more expensive alternative. Lasers remove damaged skin through flashes of light. Lasers can be ablative, which remove the top layers of the skin and non ablative, which are less invasive and work beneath the top layer of the skin. Lasers are used to reduced pore size and to kill the bacteria that produces acne. Effective lasers for this skin problem are CO2, IPL, Fraxel, Cool Touch and Omnilux Blue. Since acne problems vary; the type of laser you need will be recommended by your dermatologist.

4- Acne scar help Vitamin E, aloe vera and tea tree oil. Apply these natural remedies over the affected areas. Used often can help to heal acne scars. Vitamin E and aloe vera can also be used internally in form of supplements.
