Getting Your Rotator Cuff Back On Track

A rotator cuff injury is tough, just ask anyone who has experienced this type of injury. Now only is there extreme pain from this tear, but the natural arm movements that are taken for granted, suddenly become next to impossible to do. This injury can be life altering for many people and take along time to heal. There is also the road to recovery and information you will need to be familiar with to decide what is the best healing option for you.

Medical experts know that for the most part, a rotator cuff injury doesn’t just happen, unless there is some type of blunt force trauma put on the shoulder area such as a bad fall or vehicle accident. The usual culprit is continued repetitive use over years of wear and tear on the muscles and tendons in the area. These repetitive movements over time can cause enough damage, and given the right situation will make a tear rather easy and almost a certainty.

The two major options you will have when dealing with recovery is either surgery or becoming involved with a physical therapy program. First you should talk with your doctor and get their professional input as well as spending some time on line and reading about other patients experiences with these two very different roads to recovery, before you make your final decision. Records show that doctors usually recommend surgery for patients who have experienced a sudden tear. Sudden tears are very painful and require daily doses of pain killers and can take 6 months and physical therapy to heal naturally.

There are still medical mysteries such as why some people don’t seem to be getting better despite their best efforts at following the advise of their physician. In the case of a cuff injury and the recommended exercises don’t seem to be working, many will decide to do the surgery to quicken the healing, easing the constant never ending pain and to shorten the time to regain the use of their otherwise useless limb. It is much harder and almost impossible to do many daily activities with only one hand, from getting dressed to packing the groceries.

Surgery for some is very helpful, for others it can be just as painful and limiting as the cuff injury itself. Surgery is not a sure fire quick fix for all. It can bring mobility and functionality as well as pain relief, much quicker than other options. If surgery is not a viable option to pursue, it is absolutely crucial to make physical therapy and exercises part of your daily routine. This will not improve the function of your arm and help you regain use of this very important limb.

Hypnosis to Quit Smoking

There is a huge industry built around helping people to quit smoking. The result is a wide variety of different techniques that you can try. Oddly one of the least used is one of the most effective. Hypnosis to stop smoking is widely regarded to be the most effective way to quit smoking and there are several research studies to back that up. It is well worth giving it a shot.

The main reason that you would want to use hypnosis to stop smoking is that it is a really good way to get past the cravings. Any smoker knows that the reason that it is so hard to quit is the intense cravings that they have. Used properly hypnosis can help you convince your brain that you don’t have cravings for cigarettes. The power of suggestion is actually quite remarkable. Surgeons have performed operations without the use of anesthetic simply by having the patient hypnotized. If hypnosis can get a person through that it can certainly get them through nicotine cravings.

A lot of people never consider using hypnosis to stop smoking because they aren’t really familiar with it. Obviously most people are familiar with the concept of hypnosis but usually that is based on what they have seen on television. You can rest assured that the real thing is very different.

  1. First of all you won’t fall into some deep trance in which you have no control over what you are doing.
  2. Secondly you can’t be made to do things you don’t want to do.

What hypnosis does is put you into an intensely focused state that makes your mind very open to suggestion.

If you are going to use hypnosis to stop smoking you are probably going to want to learn how to hypnotize yourself. This is actually quite easy to do; you really don’t need somebody else to hypnotize you. The reason that you would want to do this is that when you start to have a craving you are going to want to use hypnosis to make sure that you don’t give into it. Obviously it would be impractical if you had to have somebody with you to hypnotize you every time that you had a craving for a cigarette.

There are a number of ways that you can learn to hypnotize yourself. The most basic way is to find a book that teaches you how to do it. You can also learn this information on the internet. However if you are really serious about using hypnosis to stop smoking you will probably want to get a professional to help you. This will not only ensure that you learn to do it correctly but it will also allow you to schedule sessions to help you get to the root cause of why you smoke. It goes without saying that you are going to want to make sure that the person that you hire for this is a properly trained and experienced professional.

Laser Surgery for Acne Removal

If you have tried every possible option of acne treatment and are yet to get back your natural clear skin, then laser surgery may be the only option left for you. Out of all the possible treatments, laser acne treatment is the costliest but the most effective. Laser acne treatment deals with sending a beam of light through the skin and stops the breeding of the bacteria that causes acne.

Mexican internet pharmacy

Laser surgery is perhaps the most effective treatment for removing acne scars and acne marks too, as the beam of light repairs the tissues of the skin not just superficially but also till the bottom-most layer causing complete healing. But when you go for laser surgery, you should have the patience to bear with it as this is a time-consuming process and it may take years for you to get satisfactory results. Laser surgery is not done in one sitting, and depending on the extent of acne it would require multiple sessions.

In acne scar laser surgery, the beam of light is focused on the top layer of the skin and it burns away the lesion causing a fresh new skin to grow and thereby reduce the prevailing scar. Apart from targeting the bacteria, laser surgery also inhibits the secretion of oil from the sebaceous glands that cause acne.

There is also another type of acne scar surgery that does not involve burning of the skin. In this type of laser surgery, the beam of light works at repairing the skin and not burning it. This type of laser surgery is said to be comparatively safer with negligible side-effects. Also as it is not as time-consuming, one can get it done even when one has a short break during office hours.

In laser acne treatment, the specialist decides the wavelength of beam to be passed through the skin, as different wavelengths are appropriate for different complexioned people. You can have a look at some acne treatment reviews on how effective laser surgery for acne is before getting it done on yourself. Being approved by the FDA, you can rest assured that you are getting a safe procedure done.

However as with any medical procedure, it is advisable to go to a specialist. The whole difference in the treatment and its effects lies in the wavelength the specialist decides to use on the person. This is a very important decision and a specialist with good experience would always make the best choice. Any wrong decision taken by an inexperienced specialist would leave behind scars that are a shade different than your skin tone and may not look too good. When you are already spending a considerable amount of money why compromise the expertise?

There have been cases of skin sensitization, redness and burning sensation after laser surgery for acne, but is known to subside with time. Specialists may prescribe some topical applications along with laser surgery to keep these side-effects in check. This is a very effective treatment, but should only be opted for as a last option as it would cost a lot and would not give instant cure.

Depression Treatment

Our dreams are extremely important. I had to specialize in dream interpretation according to the scientific method in order to find salvation from neurosis and a prominent schizophrenia. The salvation I found thanks to the method of dream interpretation discovered by Carl Jung had to be found by many other desperate people. I started curing many people through dream therapy, since I began in 1990. This was how I simplified Jung’s method.

The unconscious mind that produces our dreams is a true doctor. By following the unconscious guidance in dreams we overcome all problems.

Depression is the first sign of your necessity for salvation. You cannot continue living the way you do. You may believe that you are a victim of other people’s evilness, which you cannot change. However, your dreams will show you how much you are influenced by your anti-conscience, which is your wild conscience. This is the main subject of all dreams. This is also the main reason for your suffering.

Instead of complaining about other people’s mistakes, you’ll learn how to correct your own mistakes. After correcting your mistakes, you’ll understand how to influence other people and transform your life.

When you understand the dream language you understand the seriousness of your psychological problems. You also understand that the materialistic and atheistic mindset of our world is totally absurd.

The unconscious mind that produces your dreams has a divine origin. I could understand the unconscious sanctity, which Jung couldn’t believe.

I saw that we suffer so much in our lives because we are absurd and cruel. However, this is not our fault. We have inherited too much craziness and evilness in our anti-conscience. We must acquire consciousness through dream therapy so that we may eliminate the anti-conscience. This psychological transformation is also a process of spiritual purification.

The unconscious mind shows us in our dreams all the mistakes we make, analyzing our behavior. We are constantly influenced by our anti-conscience. On the other hand, even our human conscience is one-sided. It needs development in order to become really intelligent.

For example when you see many people you dislike in your dreams, this means that you are imitating their behavior. These people represent parts of your own personality. You cannot admit that you are wrong like them because of your ego. This is why the unconscious mind sends you symbolic messages using images and scenes, instead of speaking through words.

You have to understand the unconscious logic if you want to understand the meaning of your dreams. Thus, you must abandon the mistaken concepts of our crazy world, ruled by violence, immorality, hypocrisy, and greed. You have to see the truth as it is.

When you see the entire truth about your behavior, and you understand your own mistakes, you stop suffering. You stop being a slave of your ego, which is manipulated by your anti-conscience.

You learn how to correct your behavior and find peace. You also understand how to organize your life, instead of being a victim of various situations, and a victim of people who disrespect you. Your dreams show you how powerful you are, helping you develop your own intelligence.

This is a true depression treatment that completely eliminates your deep sadness, and puts an end to your despair. Dream therapy helps you transform your personality, and completely change your life. When you are intelligent and sensitive you acquire many powers. You feel strong like a hero. You understand how to change your life instead of accepting your suffering.

Calm, Tests, Storms – The Urgency To Pause In The Midst of Panic

The Calm Before the Test

There’s a place of peace that precedes a wealth of stormy testing – God never begins before we’re ready.

So, if you’re tested in a dark night surround, take heart, you’re ready for it. God has deemed you competent for it; though many times we can feel incompetent – failure becoming us for the sharp abyss of self-doubt. Still, it remains; with a quick reminder to the affirmative we’re actually good for the testing. It’s purposed for our growth.

If God brings the test we should know, intellectually, we’re ready.

As we embark, we learn as we go. That’s okay.

Momentary failure is not the final word – we should never pronounce that evil upon ourselves.

Instead, we go forth knowing full well the enormity, the value, and the fear involved, in and of the testing. We anticipate it. But, let’s understand, there’s no home-ground advantage anymore; we’re playing away.
If we don’t underestimate it or be overawed by it, we’re mentally and physically ready. Strength has an unremitting ruthlessly honest balance about it.

In God’s name we can succeed, as we recall the words of Winston Churchill: “If you’re going through hell, keep going!”

The perception of testing is that it’s hell. Just as easily, however, we can fast-forward to the benefit we’re already receiving from it.

Now, appreciate the calm that comes before arduous times. Rest and prepare.

Pause – Don’t Panic

Our feelings are quick to betray us, as our reptilian and mammalian brains hold sway when times are tense. If we react, we hurt; we make things worse. We’ll have cause for remorse.

Having the wherewithal to respond in a calm, considered way is our goal.

We do this when we:

  1. Have sufficient head and heart space from an unhurried perspective.
  2. Understand that their reaction to us was made because they, perhaps, lacked the composure they wished they had had.
  3. Understand that any ‘reaction’ on our part, other than an objective mature one, will backfire.
  4. Bear the word “pause” firmly in mind, even if it seems it would cause us to lose the moment. Later, we may very well be thankful we did pause.

The higher-order (Neocortex) brain is the one empowering us to absorb any of the hurt that has hit us – whether by matter of a direct attack or because our egos have been pummelled.

The Neocortex brain is the wise, mature mind. It can be employed anytime by any of us. We simply ponder the action before committing to it. We commit it to prayer, even as the moment unfolds.

4 Tips to Ease Anxiety

Anxiety troubles most people from time to time. For some people, however, it is a constant, everyday experience that can impair day-to-day personal and professional interactions and contribute to sleepless nights. There are several simple techniques to ease anxiety and improve your calmness and peace of mind.

  • One way to get a grip on your anxiety is to first identify and recognize your particular anxiety triggers. You can even make a list of the things that worry you all the time. Once you realize the circumstances and events that stimulate your unproductive thought patterns that bring about worry, stress, and anxiety, then develop a plan to address and manage these triggers. For example, are there times when you could avoid these triggers all together? If you can’t avoid the triggers, what could you do to make these triggers more bearable? What thoughts could you think that are more supportive and optimistic?
  • Another way to manage your anxiety is to schedule a time to worry. Literally, put “time to worry” into your daily planner and schedule this “worry session” to last for 15 to 30 minutes. As you go throughout the day, if you begin to worry, simply tell yourself, “I will worry about that at my scheduled time to worry”. You may even want to carry a list entitled “Things to worry about”. Throughout the day add items to the list, as appropriate. Then, at the scheduled time to worry, take out your list and worry about the items on your list. You will likely find that many items on the list seem silly or no longer important when you consciously decide to worry about them.
  • A soothing way to ease your anxiety is through meditation. When you meditate, you calm your mind and release negative thoughts that come into your mind. Meditation also helps to release stress from the mind and body and promotes relaxation. Additional ways to soothe anxiety and promote relaxation include prayers and affirmations, guided imagery, deep breathing techniques, and progressive muscle relaxation.
  • Lastly, venturing into a hobby you are passionate about may be beneficial – whether it is gardening, cooking, or even simple housekeeping. Having a hobby helps the mind focus, become more at ease and free from the interference of troublesome thoughts. Plus, if you are having fun you are much less likely to worry.

Confronting your anxieties one at a time and finding ways to support yourself as you face them can make your anxiety more manageable. In addition, scheduling time to worry, meditating, and finding a fun hobby are all beneficial techniques for easing your anxiety. All of these approaches can be very beneficial for becoming calmer. However, if your anxiety is still bothering you after trying these techniques, a therapist’s or the physician’s advice should be sought.

The Best Methods for Battling Acne Skin

Acne is a skin condition that just about everyone has had to personally deal with at some time in their life. The teenage years are when most of us contend with the problems associated with hormonal changes that tend to promote acne breakouts. If we are fortunate, our dealings with acne fade away as we reach adulthood and our bodies and skin mature.

Unfortunately for a small group, their bouts with acne are much more severe than the typical case and their acne follows them into their adult years. Severe acne can negatively affect a person’s social life and confidence.

Blemishes can be treated with topical medication, oral medication and laser facial treatment. Some cases of severe acne react very favorably to topical and internal treatments. The key ingredient in topical products is benzoyl peroxide. Others may find that oral medications in the form of antibiotics are the answer to their acne problem. An aggressive form of acne removal will often involve combining the use of antibiotics such as Bactrim and Erythromycin with topical remedies.

The problem is long term use of antibiotics can result in a bacterial resistance. Also, one of the more successful drug treatments includes the ingredient isotretinoin. Although it is very effective in treating sever cases of acne, it is also known to cause severe birth defects when taken during a pregnancy. Isotretinoin is also known for more common side effects such as peeling skin and dry lips.

The most aggressive acne removal option is laser removal. This treatment is normally recommended for the most stubborn of acne cases. One of the benefits of lasers is that they can be used to benefit the patient in two ways. Acne laser treatment stops bacterial growth under the skin. This helps to elude outbreaks. Laser removal can also deflate the sebaceous glands which will cause less sebum to be excreted, leading to fewer acne breakouts. The sebum is what blocks the follicles causing the acne.

Acne laser skin treatment is so precise; the surgeon is able to accurately target only the affected skin tissue thus no affecting the bordering healthy skin. He can judge the depth to which the laser penetrates precisely, enabling him to remove the entire affected area of skin. This is very important when this kind of surgery is used on delicate facial skin.

In cases of severe acne, laser removal is the most effective and has the least amount of side effects.

Don’t Ignore Your Anxiety

Anxiety is one of those chronic conditions that is easy to ignore (in its milder forms) or post-pone dealing with even when it is obviously affecting your life (in moderate to severe forms). This is because it’s not life threatening, at least not immediately so. It is also because people who have anxiety have often had it for most of their life and they’ve learned little tricks to cope with it without even fully realizing what they’re doing.

The problem is that anxiety can very seriously affect every aspect of your health if you don’t deal with it in a way that actually eliminates it. Coping techniques may help you get by but they are not going to eliminate the ill effects on your physical health – and your emotional health.

Anxiety creates a “stress response” in your body which means that your body produces large amounts of the hormone cortisol. In the last few years there has been a flurry of research evaluating all the negative effects cortisol can have on the body. Occasional bursts of cortisol won’t do any noticeable harm. However, elevated levels of cortisol over an extended periods of time, as is often found in people who suffer from anxiety, can have severe effects on your health.

Here are some of the more common effects of elevated cortisol: heart disease, diabetes, joint damage, compromised immunity, and sleep deprivation.

These are all very serious conditions that cuts your lifespan but as much as 15 years on average. These are also debilitating diseases that greatly decrease the overall quality of your life. Dealing with your anxiety in a way that actually cures permanently the condition is a way of increasing your lifespan and also greatly enhancing the quality of your life.

This may seem like a weird analogy at first but someone who does not deal with their anxiety is sort of like a person who fails to do general maintenance on a car. It doesn’t make much difference when the car is brand new but as the car ages, it takes an increasing toll on the car and it will eventually kill it (like the engine in my car that blew up when i never changed the oil when I was very young).

You can get away with ignoring your anxiety for only so long before it WILL take its toll on your body. The sooner you take care of it the better chance you’ll have to prevent the detrimental effects it can have on your health.

There is no reason you should wait any longer. There are natural remedies that DO work and that have no side effects like many of the prescription pills on the market.

Causes Of Gluteus Maximus Pain

There are three gluteus muscles that control both sides of the buttocks: gluteus maximus, gluteus medius and the gluteus minimus. The largest and most superficial of the three is the gluteus maximus, composed of a broad and thick fleshy mass which makes up the large portion of the buttocks. The gluteus maximus are the muscles attached to the coccyx and to other bones in the buttocks. The tightness of this muscle or a spasm can cause gluteus maximus pain especially when you raise yourself from a sitting position. You don’t normally feel the pain while sitting and the pain is normally felt on just one side of the buttocks.

Sitting, walking or other ambulatory functions make full use of the gluteus maximus and the other gluteal muscles. It helps the upper body to bow and bend and works to outwardly rotate the hip. Gluteus maximus pain can be caused by injury to the butt muscles and can interfere with the ability to walk, sit or stand. A number of other activities can cause gluteus maximus pain but the most common are work related chronic positions. The gluteus muscles extends the legs as their primary full time work, but when they support and stabilizes sitting positions for a long time like whole day typing work or long distance driving, they can send pain signals.

Injury to the gluteus maximus happens when professional runners do not take the time to stretch the hamstrings in training. Professional athletes and people engaged in strenuous exercises should focus on stretching the hamstrings first because all our muscle systems are interconnected. In some competition, it has been found out that when runners crumple to the ground, the hamstring muscles gave out. Over stretching can rip and tear muscle fibres, causing gluteus maximus pain which may require a lengthy recovery. Not stretching and warming up on the other hand before an athletic activity or other strenuous work can also cause injury to the gluteus maximus.

Most gluteus maximus injury is relieved by three kinds of treatment: hot compress, cold compress and rest. Physical therapy, massage and creams and gels may also be able to heal injury to the muscles. Gels with eucalyptus and other heating and warming formulas are especially helpful. Gentle massages can aid in the healing process but it should be done carefully as the massage may also cause tears in the muscle fibres. On examination, a person complaining of gluteus maximus pain will have muscle spasms, stiffness of the joints and tenderness of the lumbo-sacral joint.

Resuming normal activities is recommended for people with back pains, but they should be conducted without further strain and stretching. The normal activities should be resumed gradually guided by the threshold of pain, and only after acute pain is gone. Prolonged bed rest is no longer recommended and has been known to delay recovery, so after a few days except when pain is really unbearable, the patient should already be up and about.

Pain relievers and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or commonly known as NSAIDs provide relief for pain while muscle relaxants prove helpful in some patients. Applying around 104 degrees heat pads can be very helpful and may be more effective than medications; although some doctors recommend a change from hot to cold packs in 3 minute sequences two or three times a day. Also helpful are support belts, corsets or braces worn for brief periods.

Sleep plays a vital part in the healing process. It may be difficult to sleep while suffering from pain, as most pains tend to intensify at night. Taking a warm bath before bedtime and doing some relaxation techniques to help promote sleep will help.

The sciatic nerve runs into thighs and down the legs and into the foot. If the sciatic nerve gets inflamed this can be felt as gluteus maximus pain but in actual fact it is the sciatic nerve that is giving the pain. Sciatica is a symptom of other medical disorders. This condition should be addressed as the cause of the sciatic nerve pain could be a problem with the piriformis muscle such as piriformis syndrome.

Foods That Will Lower Blood Glucose Levels

I have been struggling with diabetes type 2 for over 20 years and it was by accident that I read something about diabetes appearing in a group of people who had changed their eating habits which started me thinking. Could it be that diabetes type 2 was an eating disorder?

Aside from popping pills, I had not done much to change my eating habits after being diagnosed with the condition and this meant that my diabetes didn’t go away. But after reading about the Pima Indian tribe, I started avoiding industrially processed foods. I started buying whole foods instead.

Viagra tablets online

The change was dramatic and immediate! I started losing weight and feeling a whole lot better in a matter of a couple of weeks. So the first big lesson I learned here was: stay away from industrially processed foods and favor whole foods instead.

As a specific practical example: eat whole bread instead of refined white bread. The whole bread will not create a blood sugar spike while the refined white bread will definitely put you at a high risk of provoking the blood sugar spike!

Once I realized that the foods I ate could help me control my diabetes I started looking for more ways to combine foods that could help me avoid having to take pills. Staying away from industrially processed foods was the first big step, eating whole foods was the second.

Naturally, I cut back on sugars and fats and I also took the habit of going for a short walk after each meal as this helps the digestion process. These days, I go out for that walk even if it freezes outside or even if it rains cats and dogs. It will not prevent me from taking a quick nap if I feel tired afterward.

The point is that the walk helps set in motion a natural process of digestion which is beneficial to the body and that this improves the way the body absorbs the food. And the exercise burns energy, some of which might be excessive glucose in the blood! By experience I can confirm that it works for me and I can only recommend you try it for yourself.

Another big helper was that I started including lots of fresh leafy vegetables into my daily food intake. They add volume and fibers to the foods and are a tremendous help in the digestive process as they help eliminate toxins while they bring excellent nutrients.

Top 5 Physical Signs and Symptoms Of General Anxiety Disorder

General Anxiety Disorder (or GAD) can happen to anybody that has let the pressures of life creep up and begin to overwhelm them.

The effects of excessive worry and stress can have a range of different physical symptoms. Often times they can come on suddenly and are very intense. Of course, everyone is different…so you may not experience all of the symptoms of General Anxiety Disorder listed below. However, if you experience several of the most common physical symptoms of General Anxiety Disorder at the same time…it is very likely that you are having (what most people who have GAD commonly refer to as) a “panic attack” or an “anxiety attack”.

1. The first symptom is usually a feeling of light-headedness or dizziness. This is often at the beginning of a panic attack. Some people describe the feeling as the same feeling you get when you’ve had little too much to drink. Others describe is as a sensation that the room is shifting a little around you. You may even have a rushing sound in your ears and a you may feel like you are about to faint.

2. Another symptom of General Anxiety Disorder is that you may experience having difficulty breathing. Again, it’s described differently by different people but you may feel like you have a lump in your throat…and that it hurts when you swallow. Your chest may feel tight and constricted and you may have a hard time taking in deep slow breaths. Still others describe as if they have just ran a few miles and can’t catch their breath.

3. Many times people experiencing symptoms of General Anxiety Disorder think they are having a heart attack because your pulse becomes faster and your heart seems to be trying to pound its way out of your chest. Even when sitting still, your heart rate may increase, flutter and become uneven.

4. Usually, your face feels hot and flushed (kind of what it feels like when you have a high temperature). You may also feel nauseous.

5. Waves of anxiety…ranging from unwanted thoughts (picturing the worst possible outcome of whatever you are battling)…to feeling disconnected from reality (you fear you may be going crazy or losing your mind)…to feeling completely out of control.

One of the most mind-boggling things about the symptoms of General Anxiety Disorder is that many times all of the symptoms are able to be kept solely internal. Although you are feeling deathly panicked on the inside (with your heart racing and your mind not being able to stay focused on anything), you are sometimes able to maintain your composure and you can somehow manage to force your physical body to remain completely still.

When you experience symptoms of General Anxiety Disorder, it feels like it lasts forever. In actuality anxiety attacks only normally last between five and twenty minutes.

Many people will have one or two anxiety attacks in their life time. If you find yourself having the above mentioned symptoms of General Anxiety Disorder on a regular basis and you find that they have begun to affect your ability to live a normal life… you may in fact have General Anxiety Disorder.

Note: Since many times the sense of panic can mimic the sensations of a heart attack, it is a very good idea to seek out professional attention to ensure there is not a physical reason for your attack.
